I’m 24 years old, and I’ve had an unhealthy relationship with food since I can remember. Let me elaborate – I would get McDonalds or pizza at least 4 times a week (but usually more) and when I wasn’t eating take away, I was eating frozen meals, packet noodles (Mi Goreng), an excessive amount of bread, and of course lollies. I’ve always been a fairly happy and confident person, but would get very depressed about my weight behind closed doors. I’d get upset about being fat, then I would drive to McDonalds and eat it in the privacy of my own room? It just didn’t make any sense, and it felt like a never ending cycle.

I was also one of those typical yo-yo dieters. I’d follow the ‘in’ diet at the time for a week or so, then go right back to binge eating and put on the weight I’d lost, plus more. I’ve tried all the calorie counted, low carb, no sugar, no meat, shake only diets and none of them are maintainable…or even successful to begin with! I lost just under 10kgs about 2 or 3 years ago, but apparently it’s easy to fall back into old habits so I piled it all back on within a few months.

I’ve had a few personal trainers in the past, and all were fantastic with pushing me to train hard, but none of them were qualified or experienced in nutrition. It’s my own fault for not realising sooner that I needed a nutritionist/mentor more than a personal trainer. In today’s society, I think it’s implied that you’ll lose weight if you go to a personal trainer, but I really think the importance of seeing a nutritionist needs to be emphasised. This is exactly why Craig is different, and better than most – he is qualified in both fields!

 

Please let me explain to you how I came across Craig at Fusion Fat Loss!

When I moved into the area approximately 9 months ago, I was on the hunt for a new studio, mentor and fitness family. Good ol’ google provided me with the websites of a few studios in the area, but Craig at Fusion Fat Loss was the only one that stood out to me. I can’t really explain it, but I just had a gut feeling that Craig was different, in a good way. This gut feeling led me to read his reviews, and that’s when I decided to send him an email. Craig called me to arrange a free consultation, and straight away, I felt comfortable enough to open up to him (if I remember correctly, I burst into tears within the first 10 minutes of chatting and for those who know me well, I’m not usually an emotional person haha). It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, because I had found someone who understands that it’s not as simple as telling someone to “eat healthy and exercise, and VOILA, all your problems will be solved!”. Craig understands that it is more complicated than that. For several months now, Craig has been my mentor throughout my Nutrition Rehab course, as well as the Transform U Program, and I look forward to continuing my journey with him. He is everything I was looking for, and more! I needed someone who could get into my head, and transform my negative attitude into a positive one!

This is going to sound really cliché but I’m a completely different person now! I suffered from minor depression, hot flashes, anxiety, thyroid issues and mood swings. Yes, it’s a difficult journey, and I find falling into old habits is still very easy to do, but I no longer fear that I won’t be able to get myself out of them! I can catch myself out before it’s too late because Craig helped me realise that I AM in control, and if I genuinely believe in myself, I can achieve great things. I love that I am getting stronger (mentally and physically) every single day. As my strength grows, so does my happiness J

Craig Kelly, I want to thank you whole heartedly for everything you have done for me. You really have changed my life with your contagious positivity and endless amount of knowledge and experience! My journey has only just begun, but I am so unbelievably happy and proud of my progress so far. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
